The Galaxy Class is an increable innovation. It can travel up speeds in excess of Warp 9.5 also it was the ability to be run by a crew of 1,000 or just one with its great automation sequence. It is also capable of delevery of vast weaponary at any opposing targets. It was the first design to allow for warp core ejection without having to abandon ship. Also the ship could seperation and reattach the saucer section without the assistance of a starbase.
