About the Webmaster

George Bell was born on June 30,1770 at the age of 25 in 1799 he jioned the US Contintial Navy.  In 1801 married Roberta Summer by 1803 he was made a Lieutenant in the Navy and was serving on board the USS Constitution. By 1810 at the age of 40 he was a Captian and now was commanding the USS Constitution.  In 1817 George was promoted to a Commodore at the age of 47 and he was the commanding officer os the Easter Fleet and had a total of 5 warships under his command.  In 1821 he retired from the Navy and lived his days out in Norfolk, VA.  At the age of 72 on September 2, 1842 he passed away.
